I ASKED PHIL TO MAKE ME A BLACKTHORN RATTLE WHICH HE DID, LITTLE WAS I EXPECTING THREE NEW TEACHERS TO TURN UP WITH IT, AS THEY EXPRESSED THROUGH PHIL'S GUIDES THEIR WISH TO BE PLACED INSIDE THE RATTLE.
ReplyDeleteI WAS ALSO TAKEN ABACK TO SEE MY BEAR SPIRIT LARGE AS LIFE ON THE END OF THE RATTLE, ALONG WITH SEVERAL OTHER SPIRIT PEOPLE IN THE WOOD GRAIN.

ReplyDeleteI recently received my two custom rattles and I can't say enough about them. They are absolutely beautiful and I look forward to the journeys I am about to embark on with them. Working with Phil during their crafting has been fantastic. The thought and attention, as well as the craftmanship he puts into them is astounding. You start out as a customer, but by the end, you feel like part of Phil's clan. I can't recommend him enough.
ReplyDeleteMy rattle was crafted from the same stag skin as the drum that was birthed at the same time. I asked for hawthorn to be used for both drum beater and the rattle. The result is an unusual and highly distinctive rattle with my Snake emerging from the 'twist & turn' of the wood. Beautiful, sacred and unique - it feels like it has always been a part of me. Thank you Phil!

ReplyDeleteTo have another magical tool for journeying that has been lovingly crafted and that has this link with my drum is wonderful. This rattle is really beautiful to look at, incredibly tactile and wonderful to hold - organic, vital, alive..and, in addition, the obvious connection to the magic of Yew, the guardian to the Door of Rebirth. My rattle arrived today, to go with the drum and beater Phil birthed for/with me back in February of this year. What a stunning piece of craftsmanship, and a real working tool.....I really appreciate the fact that it's been made by someone who is not only skilled in the art, but also a genuine journeying man himself. Especially pleasing that this has arrived literally on the cusp of our move to Wales next week, and I am so looking forward to journeying across the hedge with it there. Thank you again Phil.....
